What is the PTO?

PTO simply stands for Parent Teacher Organization. The Legacy Elementary PTO is organized to support and benefit the education of students at Legacy Elementary. Members of the PTO are the parents and teachers of Legacy students who are committed to making Legacy the best it can be. The Legacy Elementary PTO organizes fundraising efforts and works to improve our students' educational experience through specific initiatives:

Student Enrichment -- First and foremost we are here to enhance the education of the students of Legacy. Each year, the PTO provides enrichment funds to help cover costs of supplies and resources for the administration, grade level teachers, and special programs.

Field Trips -- The PTO covers most of the expense for students to attend out-of-school educational experiences with the goal of limiting the out of pocket expense for families.

Family Nights -- Legacy PTO organizes several family nights throughout the year in conjunction with our PTO General Membership Meetings. These themed nights provide fun activities for the entire family to share while providing students with an educational experience outside of the classroom.

Special Events & Fundraisers -- There are several events and activities throughout the year to bring our Legacy family together. Funds raised through PTO dues and our different fundraisers allow us to participate in various activities.
